The fort have silently witnessed the ruling of ‘Kolathiri Rajas’, followed by ‘Vijayanagar empire’, ‘Tipu Sultan’ and finally the British East India company as well.                 Up next we have ‘Bekal Fort Beaches’. With beautiful – stunning white sand and a great waterfall around, ‘Bekal Fort Beaches’ can’t let you without being unnoticed. The place often floods with visitors and people who flock here are mainly looking forward to spend some quality time over the stunning – beautiful white sand. No wonder that the place doesn’t get deserted even after the sunset as well. Having said about the much attractive ‘Bakal Fort Beaches’, how can’t we mention an equally beautiful, yet not that much explored – Kappil Beach…! Almost covering an area of nearly 25 acres of land, this location has been preferred by many to have a sit and take a deep sigh. While you get to see white sand in ‘Bekal Fort Beach’, you can explore Silver Sand in ‘Kappil Beach’. You don’t have to pack all the bags and take a quick drive from ‘Bekal Fort Beach’ to reach here as both are in such close proximity – lying just 6 km away from the former. Well, if you want to explore an adventurous journey and want to enjoy a great panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, the Kodi cliff is the ideal place for you, no doubt’.

             As we have already uttered the specialty of ‘Bekal’, the place offers you a perfect blend between the natural beauty as well as the historical – religious – spiritual environment. While ‘Ananthapura Laka Temple’ and ‘Mallikarjuna Temple’ attracts large number of devotees, the ‘Malik Deenar Mosque’ boasts a great historical relevance as well as is considered to be one of the best kept Juma Masjid. The Masjid is believed to have been founded by Malik Ibn Deenar. Taking a short drive from Bekal, can take you ‘Hosdurg Fort’ as well as ‘Valiyaparamba Backwaters’ – both are elegant in their own terms and people usually won’t miss a chance to go there. An easily connected place, Bekal is within a short drive from Mangalore airport and has a well – connected road transit facility with the nearby major cities.
